Walk with friends

Children love to walk with friends on their way to school and it’s a great way to meet new parents too. A good way to get children walking on a regular basis is to make it part of your daily routine.

There are many routes being added or improved across Bridgwater, so your journey couldn’t be simpler.

Walking with very young children may require a pram or buggy. Walks with Buggies has lots of routes that have been rated as suitable for parents with buggies and young children

Walk to improve your body and mind

Walking will help you to stay healthy. Choosing to walk can help you keep fit and improve your wellbeing. Its less stressful than being part of the traffic each morning.

If a 60kg adult walks at a leisurely pace for just 30 mins they would burn 75 calories. Make that your daily commute at a slightly faster pace and on average you could loose a stone in less than 12 months!
