We know as a nation we need to get fitter. So what could you try to see the health benefits?

Walking

Did you know you can easily walk a mile in 20 minutes?

Most people live within a couple of miles from their school or work. Walking twice a day for a mile, five times a week and you can look to loose 0.85lbs a week. That’s over 30lbs a year! It can also improve the flexibility and strength of your muscles, joints and bones.

Cycling

Did you know regular cyclists are as fit as an average person ten years younger?

Cycling is great for your heart and lungs, improving cardiovascular health, and as a low impact exercise, it can help build up your muscles without putting too much strain on your joints.

It’s recommended that adults do at least 150 minutes of physical activity each week so if you cycle three miles by bike to work and then the same home again every weekday, you’ll easily achieve this on a weekly basis.
